What We Skate For

For those living with parents, a neighborhood can be less about where you choose and more about where family lives. Luckily throughout the city of Chicago there are many skate parks available to its citizens. For many people, skating is a big outlet even though it’s not easy. From Logan Square to Grant Park skaters gather to create their own mobile communities. What if you are a skater and are Black? Are you looked down upon?
